(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, Roksolana Pidlasa, Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget, reported this on Facebook.

She shared the results of negotiations with a delegation from the European Commission's Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs, which is responsible for ERA loans and the "reparations loan" – Stephanie Pamies, Hugo Ferradans Ramonde, and colleagues from the EU Delegation.

"Good news – we expect the next tranche of direct budget assistance to arrive as planned, approximately on Thursday. This includes EUR 4.1 billion under ERA loans and EUR 1.9 billion under the Ukraine Facility," Pidlasa noted.

According to her, there are therefore no risks regarding the financing of military and socio-humanitarian expenditures.

"Work on the 'reparations loan' continues, but it requires a political decision by the European Council (that is, by all EU member states)," she said.

Pidlasa emphasized that the need for new EU assistance will arise already at the end of the first quarter of 2026, primarily to finance non-military expenditures.

"But we are also insisting on the possibility of using the 'reparations loan' for defense needs through the budget (including payments to the military)," she added.

According to the committee chair, Brussels is discussing that the provision of the 'reparations loan' will be accompanied by conditions for continuing and strengthening reforms.

As Ukrinform reported, on October 1 the European Commission allocated to Ukraine the ninth tranche of additional macro-financial assistance (MFA) in the amount of EUR 4 billion. In doing so, the EU confirmed its commitment to supporting Ukraine, in line with the statement by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen about providing a EUR 6 billion EU pre-contribution to the ERA loans initiative.
