"We have preliminary detailed intelligence assessments of the impact of our partners' new sanctions on Russia's war machine. There is a lot of information. Based on it, we adjust our communications with partners as we prepare for new sanctions. Sanctions against oil companies are already causing significant losses for Russia. We anticipate that if principled and consistent pressure on Moscow continues, their losses from the recently imposed measures alone will be at least $50 billion per year," Zelensky said.

He also expressed hope that partners would introduce more sanctions steps, noting there are already signals pointing in that direction.

"The volumes of oil supplied to the global market by Arab states can certainly prevent any destabilization or price spikes that the Russians are talking about to sow fear," he added.

Zelensky noted that regular data exchanges with key partner nations are ongoing regarding Russian individuals and schemes deserving sanctions. He emphasized that "partners are taking into account a significant portion of our proposals" and that measures against Russia's tanker fleet must be fully implemented.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Zelensky recently stated that the sanctions imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump would cut Russian revenues by $5 billion per month.

A day earlier, the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced sanctions against major Russian oil companies Rosneft and Lukoil, calling on Moscow to immediately agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine.

On October 23, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas announced that the European Union had approved its 19th package of sanctions against Russia for its ongoing full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
