Toprak Razgatlioglu Clinches World Superbike Championship Title
(MENAFN) Turkish motorcycle racer Toprak Razgatlioglu secured the 2025 World Superbike Championship (WSB) title on Sunday.
He achieved this milestone by finishing third in the final race of the season, held in Spain.
Widely recognized as "El Turco" among his supporters, Razgatlioglu had previously claimed the championship in 2021 and 2024.
This latest triumph marks his third overall title in the prestigious competition.
In a conversation with a news agency, Razgatlioglu dedicated his championship victory to his homeland and highlighted the crucial role of his team in the achievement. “This is not a victory alone,” he remarked.
“You see me on screen by myself, but behind me is a large team. Everyone gives their best, and even a tiny loose bolt could take us out of the race. That’s why the team and crew are so important. We succeeded together, and we won together.”
Razgatlioglu ended the 2025 season with a total of 616 points. Italian rider Nicolo Bulega secured second place overall with 603 points, followed by Spanish competitor Alvaro Bautista in third, who accumulated 337 points.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan extended his congratulations to Razgatlioglu via the Turkish social media platform NSosyal, stating that the racer’s success brought “immense pride and joy to all of us.”
