(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Amman, Oct. 14 (Petra) – The Director General of the Hashemite Fund for the Development of the Jordan Badia, Ahmed Oweidat, and Country Director of the Action for Humanity, Kholoud Taweeleh, signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday to implement various activities and programs and exchange expertise between the two sides.
Oweidat said that the agreement provides a framework for cooperation aimed at leveraging both parties' expertise in education, health, and poverty alleviation, as well as other development areas across the northern, central, and southern Badia regions. He noted that the initiative aligns with the Fund's mission to raise living standards, enhance economic empowerment, support entrepreneurship, and achieve sustainable development in the Badia.
He added that the memorandum includes provisions to improve the quality of educational and health services in targeted areas through training and rehabilitation programs, provide technical and logistical support, and strengthen the capacities of individuals and local communities by supporting small and medium-sized enterprises. It also seeks to empower women and youth and reduce poverty and unemployment through sustainable, productive projects.
For her part, Taweeleh said that under the MoU, the British NGO will help provide financial and in-kind support for the agreed-upon projects and initiatives across the Badia regions in coordination with the Fund, while also promoting the planned projects.
