Kuwait Moi Stresses Importance Of Scientific Research In Security Field
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA))
TUNIS, Oct 2 (KUNA) -- Acting Undersecretary of Kuwait's Interior Ministry, Major General Ali Al-Adwani, stressed Thursday the importance of scientific research in the security field, which has become a necessity in light of technological progress across various fields, whether by relying on digital transformation in service delivery or in combating modern crime methods.
In a press release, the Interior Ministry stated that this came in a speech delivered by Al-Adwani while heading the Kuwaiti delegation participating in the meeting of the Board of Trustees of Prince Naif Award for Arab Security, which was held Thursday, at the General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers' Council (AIMC) headquarters in Tunisia.
Al-Adwani stressed the importance of exchanging views on the topics on the meeting's agenda, as part of continuing to establish the foundations and principles that contribute to the development of the award and ensuring the quality of the research submitted, which benefits security agencies and enhances their ability to meet challenges.
Additionally, the meeting reviewed the Award's Secretary-General's report on the activities of the General Secretariat since the last meeting of the Board of Trustees on January 29, and considered adopting the arbitration criteria for the award in its new form and forming the members of the arbitration committee.
