Pieces of Kandakes invites you to the 6th Annual WEP MPLS Launch Party on October 19 at Black Business Enterprises in Minneapolis. Enjoy a red carpet hosted by Byba Tee, the debut of the Elements Jewelry Collection, the release of Kandake Korner Magazine Issue 2, and a Women's Empowerment Panel moderated by Shakirah Edwards. Minneapolis, MN - September 22, 2025 - Pieces of Kandakes announced plans for the 6th Annual Launch Party of WEP MPLS (Women Empowerment Project Minneapolis), scheduled for Sunday, October 19, 2025. The program will include the release of Kandake Korner Magazine, Issue 2, the debut of the new Elements Jewelry Collection, a women's empowerment panel, and a red carpet event.
The panel will be moderated by Shakirah Edwards and feature guest panelists Jenna Willenbring, Morrcellia Columbus, Vanessa Harrison, and Nicoya Ingram. The red carpet will be hosted by Byba Tee, known for the Aurora K Speaks podcast.
Founded by jewelry designer Rashawnda C. Scott, WEP MPLS was created to highlight women's stories and contributions beyond titles and appearances. Scott said the launch of the second issue of Kandake Korner is meant to showcase women in the community as“extraordinary, powerful, and worthy of recognition.”
