Amman, Sept. 21 (Petra) -- The Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) on Sunday rolled out a training program on "Inclusive Air Travel Services for Persons with Disabilities," designed to improve accessibility and enhance the travel experience for people with disabilities.
The program, held in cooperation with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, reflects Jordan's commitment to the Global Disability Summit 2025 and its Economic Modernization Vision 2026–2029. Staff from CARC, national airlines, and airports took part in the training.
CARC Chairman Captain Haitham Misto said the initiative demonstrates the institutions' dedication to creating a safe, dignified, and inclusive air travel environment.
Sessions addressed disability awareness, effective communication, accessibility standards, and facilitative measures for passengers. Participants also discussed relevant legislation, the National Air Transport Facilitation Program, and recent updates on accessibility at civil airports.
