Arab Parliament Condemns Escalation Of Israeli Military Operations In Gaza

Cairo, Sept 16 (Petra) – The Arab Parliament on Tuesday strongly condemned the dangerous expansion of Israeli military operations against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, which in recent hours have left large numbers of dead and wounded following indiscriminate bombardments of densely populated residential areas.
Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi said in a statement that the parliament considers the continuation of this "criminal aggression" as one of the most heinous war crimes and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and UN resolutions. He stressed that Israel's bloody escalation, siege, and systematic starvation policies amount to genocide against the defenseless Palestinian people, in breach of international laws and conventions and in defiance of international efforts to end the war.
The Arab Parliament held the international community, the UN Security Council, and international and human rights organizations fully responsible for Israel's continued arrogance and atrocities. It called for urgent and decisive international action to halt Israel's killing machine, provide international protection for the Palestinian people, and ensure the immediate delivery of humanitarian and relief aid to Gaza.
