Kuwaiti, Saudi Interior Ministers Discuss Security Coop


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 14 (KUNA) -- First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah met on Sunday with Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud Al-Saud, now on a visit to Kuwait.
During the meeting, both sides discussed issues of mutual concerns, ways to enhance security cooperation, according to a statement from Kuwait's Ministry of Interior.
Discussions included mechanisms for coordinating joint efforts to confront regional and international challenges, and to ensure the security and stability of the two countries and the region, the statement added.
The ministry briefed the Saudi Minister with an explanation provided by the Criminal Security Sector at the Ministry about its work mechanism and held a special exhibition showcasing the sector's most notable achievements.
The talks come within the framework of the keenness of the leadership of the two countries to consolidate cooperation and develop the prospects of partnership in a way that contributes to supporting the joint Gulf efforts to confront challenges and enhance security and stability in the region.(end)
