Pakistan's Workers Remittances Increased 6.6 Percent In August

(MENAFN- Nam News Network) ISLAMABAD, Sept 9 (NNN-APP) – Pakistan's workers remittances rose 6.6 percent, year-on-year, to 3.1 billion U.S. dollars in August, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said, yesterday.

The cumulative inflows during the first two months of the 2025-26 fiscal year reached 6.4 billion dollars, marking a growth of 7.0 percent, the bank said in a statement.

Saudi Arabia remained the largest source of inflows in August, with 736.7 million dollars, followed by the United Arab Emirates with 642.9 million dollars, the United Kingdom with 463.4 million dollars, and the United States with 267.3 million dollars.

Analysts expected the sustained growth in remittances to support Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves, and help alleviate pressure on the country's external account.– NNN-APP
