Bahraini Football U-20 Beats Omani Team In AGCFF GCC CUP


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) JEDDAH, Sept 1 (KUNA) -- Bahrain's U20 football team defeated Oman 4-2 on Sunday in the second round of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF) U20 tournament, currently taking place in Abha, Saudi Arabia.
Ali Mehran scored twice for Bahrain, with Ahmad Ibrahim and Yahya Adel adding one each, while Hussam Al-Naebi and Ali Rabea netted for Oman.
In the same group, Iraq beat Egypt 2-0. With these results, Iraq tops the group, while Bahrain and Oman share second place on equal points, and Egypt sits last.
The championship, hosted in Abha, Saudi Arabia, in its first edition, which began on 28 August 2025 and runs until 10 September 2025, with teams from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Yemen, and Iraq, alongside Egypt which is participating by invitation from Arab Gulf Cup Federation (AGCFF).
