2nd India MedTech Expo 2025 to showcase Indi’’s prowess in MedTech on Sept 4-6, 2025


(MENAFN- sloughpr) New Delhi, 1 September 2025: The Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, GoI, in association with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, GoI; Export Promotion Council for Medical Devices (EPCMD), and Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO)under Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GoI is pleased to announce the second edition of the India MedTech Expo 2025. The event will be held from–4–6 September 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, as part of the larger Bharat Health 2025 initiative.

India MedTech Expo has emerged as a premier platform to highlig’t India’s capabilities and growth in the medical technology and devices sector. The 2025 edition will once again bring together policymakers, global business leaders, innovators, investors, and healthcare stakeholders, reinfor’ing India’s position as a hub for precision-driven, yet affordable, MedTech solutions.
The three-day expo titled ‘India: Global MedTech Manufacturing Hub, Precision Engineering yet Affordab’e’ will feature an expansive exhibition showcasing MSMEs, start-ups, research institutions, future innovation pavilions, state showcases, and government initiatives.
The conclave will include thematic conferences, CEO roundtables, fireside chats, and state-focused sessions, with the participation of Union and State Ministers. Experience zones and networking opportunities such as B2B meetings, Reverse Buyer-Seller Meets, and regulator open houses will further enable collaborations across the med-tech value chain.
Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers and Shri Jitin Prasada, Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & IT will be inaugurating the event.
Shri Amit Agrawal, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Shri Nitin Kumar Yadav, Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Mr P Krishnamurthy, Chairman NPPA, Dr Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, DCGI, Drug Controller General of India, and Shri R P Singh, Joint Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, are among other key dignitaries who will be participating in the prestigious event.
Other key speakers include, Shri Rakesh Kumar Singh, CEO, YEIDA, Medical Device Park, UP; Shri Awadhesh Chaudhary, Senior Economic Advisor, Department of Pharmaceuticals; Shri Pramod Meshram, Deputy Drugs Controller (India), CDSCO IVD Division, etc.

The event will witness participation from over 150 international buyers representing more than 30 countries, offering a unique opportunity for global stakeholders to explore partnerships and investment’ in India’s rapidly expanding MedTech ecosystem. With strong industry support from leading associations including AIMED, ADMI, MTAI, AMTZ, AMCHAM, APACMED, ADVAMED, APMEI, ASSOCHAM, CII, FICCI, INVEST INDIA, PHDCCI, NATHEALTH, USIBC, and USISPF, the expo will serve as a collective platform to shape the future of medical technology.
The Expo will feature various pavilions, including the Future Pavilion, R&D Pavilion, Start-up Pavilion, State Pavilion, Regulators’ Pavilion, and the Make in India Showcase. More than 350 exhibitors, including MSMEs, domestic and international manufacturers, start-ups, regulatory agencies, and state governments, will participate in the 2nd edition.
The event will also feature thematic conference sessions to explore new frontiers of knowledge, inspire innovation, and forge connections that transcend boundaries. These sessions have been designed with the aim of achieving Vision 20—7—a vision that embodies I’dia’s aspirations for the MedTech sector, not only within the country but also as a significant contributor to the global healthcare land cape.
The current market size of the medical devices industry in India is estimated at $15 billion, and it is projected to reach $30 billion by 2030, representing a sunrise sector of the Indian economy. The medical devices industry is one of the fastest-growing segments within the healthcare market, and at present, various categories of —evices—from consumables to implantable medica— devices—are being manufactured in India.
The Indian MedTech industry is currently the fourth-largest medical devices market in Asia, after Japan, China, and South Korea, and ranks among the top 20 medical devices markets globally. This industry is poised for significant growth, driven by the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Medical Devices and the establishme‘t of four ‘Medical’Device Parks’ across the country. The Department of Pharmaceuticals is also formulating an India Medical Devices Policy, which is currently at the inter-ministerial cons ltation stage.
