GB Government Helicopter Crashes Near Chilas Due To Technical Fault
A helicopter of the Gilgit-Baltistan government crashed near Chilas after experiencing a technical malfunction, officials confirmed.
According to the GB government spokesperson, the incident occurred while the helicopter was attempting to land. There were two pilots and three technical staff members on board at the time of the crash.
Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan expressed deep concern over the unfortunate incident and directed the concerned authorities to immediately reach the site and initiate rescue operations.

Rescue teams rushed to the location and were engaged in extinguishing the fire that erupted in the helicopter following the crash.
It is worth mentioning that just a few days ago, a helicopter belonging to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government also crashed in Mohmand district during a relief operation, resulting in the martyrdom of five crew members.
