Ukraine Downs 76 Of 86 Russian Drones In Overnight Attack

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram .

Starting at 20:30 on Sunday, August 31, Russian forces launched 86 strike drones of the Shahed type and various decoy drones from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea).

The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.

Preliminary data indicate that, as of 09:00 on Monday, September 1, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 76 Shahed drones and decoy UAVs of various types over northern, southern, eastern, and central Ukraine.

Ten drones hit six locations.

As reported by Ukrinform, over the past 24 hours, Russian forces launched attacks on more than 30 settlements across Kherson region, resulting in one death and injuries to 13 civilians.
