Ukraine Downs 76 Of 86 Russian Drones In Overnight Attack
Starting at 20:30 on Sunday, August 31, Russian forces launched 86 strike drones of the Shahed type and various decoy drones from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea).
The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
Preliminary data indicate that, as of 09:00 on Monday, September 1, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 76 Shahed drones and decoy UAVs of various types over northern, southern, eastern, and central Ukraine.
Ten drones hit six locations.
