Kuwait Football U-20 Tie With Saudi Arabia In AGCFF GCC CUP


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) JEDDAH, Aug 31 (KUNA) -- Kuwait National U20 Football team tied on Sunday with Saudi Arabia with a 1-1 score in the second round of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF) tournament for U20 players, being held in Abha, Saudi Arabia.
Saudi player Abdulaziz Al-Shammari put his team in the lead in the 40th minute of the match that was held at Prince Sultan Sports City Stadium, while Kuwait's Misfer Al-Adwani leveled the score in the 74 minute to equalize the match score.
In the same group, Yemen managed to beat Qatar with one goal, thanks to Mukhtar Muwaffaq in the 22nd minute of the match at Damac Club Stadium.
At this stage, the Kuwaiti team have accumulated 2-points in their Group awaiting their final match against Yemen.
The Group Standing at the moment are, in first place is Saudi Arabia with 4-points, followed by Yemen with 3-points, Kuwait in third, while Qatar in fourth place with 1-point.
As for the second Group matches to be held on Monday, in its second stages, Egypt will be facing Iraq, while Bahrain will go up against Oman.
Hosting the 2025 AGCFF U20 tournament in Abha, Saudi Arabia kicked-off the competition on the 28 of August, which is scheduled until September 10, with eight teams taking part, and Egypt as a participant following an invite by the Federation. (end)
