Kuwait Airways Signs MSA With Impulse International To Support Digital Transformation

KUWAIT, Aug 27 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Airways signed on Wednesday a Master Services Agreement (MSA) with Impulse International Communications to build the infrastructure needed to implement the newest information technologies as a step towards digital transformation.
In his statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Kuwait Airways Chairman Abdulmohsen Al-Fagaan said this deal is set to develop the national carrier's technology on all levels, in line with Kuwait's vision 2035.
This MSA agreement ensures that the airlines will be able to implement the latest cloud computing technologies in accordance with the company's strategic plans to make customer experience smoother, safer, and more efficient, Al-Fagaan continued.
The chairman mentioned that Impulse is the authorized distributor of the Framework Agreement (AFA) signed with Google Cloud, making it a key player in the cloud computing ecosystem in Kuwait and will provide full support to Kuwait Airways.
He emphasized the national carrier's commitment to becoming the preferred airline by enhancing performance and offering a superior travel experience through advanced technology, quality service, and a focus on safety and security.
For his part, the Vice Chairman and CEO of Impulse, Izzat Abou Amarah, told KUNA that the main objective of this agreement is to enhance, activate, and enable the automation of Kuwait Airways' procedures, in addition to achieving the digital transformation goals set by the airline's board of directors.
He added that Impulse has a clear vision in the aviation world and is aligned with global developments in this sector, particularly the use and reliance on artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
He stated that this agreement embodies Impulse's mission to drive Kuwait's digital transformation by accelerating the adoption of technology and cloud services and by delivering innovative and advanced solutions that enable institutions to thrive in a fast-paced digital environment.
He highlighted a key pillar of the agreement, enhancing the passenger experience across all stages from pre-booking and booking to using Kuwait Airways services and arriving at the destination.
Kuwait Airways was established in 1953 as a private company under the name "Kuwait National Airways Limited" and launched its first flight on March 16, 1954, and the government of Kuwait acquired full ownership of the company in 1962.
Impulse International Communications was founded in 2012 by the National Technology Enterprises Company (NTEC), which is fully owned by the Kuwait Investment Authority. (end)
