Nine Terrorists Killed In Joint Operation In NW Pakistan: Police


(MENAFN- Nam News Network) ISLAMABAD, Aug 27 (NNN-APP) – At least nine terrorists, of a banned militant outfit, were killed, in a joint operation in Pakistan's north-west Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, police said, yesterday.

Police officer, Bilal Haider, told media that, the operation had been conducted for the past three days, following intelligence confirming the presence of the terrorists in Lower Dir district of the province.

The officer said, all the terrorists were from the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and were involved in several acts of terrorism, including attacks on security forces and police.– NNN-APP
