Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has issued Administrative Decision No. (24/2025) to administratively close a food company for one month for violating the provisions of Articles (6) and (7) of Law No. (8) of 2008 on Consumer Protection and its Executive Regulations.

A statement issued by the Ministry on Wednesday confirmed that the decision to close Fresh Phil Foods Company comes as a result of the company being caught packaging spoiled food products of unknown origin and reselling them in retail outlets, which constitutes a serious violation that threatens the health and safety of consumers.

A report was prepared regarding the incident and referred to the competent security authorities to complete legal procedures.

An administrative closure decision was also issued for 30 days, with the Ministry rejecting any reconciliation requests submitted by the company.

The seizure was carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior as part of joint inspection campaigns to monitor markets.
