Nuarrual Hilal Md Dahlan
Professor Dr. Nuarrual Hilal Md. Dahlan ACIS (CS) (CGP), CC is a distinguished law lecturer at the School of Law, College of Law, Government, and International Studies (UUM COLGIS), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and a Bachelor of Shariah Law (LL.B (S)) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Additionally, he is a member of the Malaysian Bar, a licensed Sharie' lawyer in Penang, and an Associate Member of both the Malaysian and London Institutes of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ACIS).
Dr. Nuarrual Hilal earned his Ph.D. in law from the esteemed Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), IIUM. His doctoral research focused on the legal framework surrounding abandoned housing projects in Peninsular Malaysia.
His research interests extend to various legal disciplines, including land law, planning law, building law, housing law, insolvency law, and Islamic law-particularly in areas related to contracts and Islamic home financing within the housing development sector.
A prolific scholar, Dr. Nuarrual Hilal has received numerous accolades, including the Anugerah Karya Kencana (DBP) and Anugerah Artikel Terbaik (MAPIM). His publications, featured in both local and international journals such as SCOPUS, are frequently referenced and cited in legal judgments.
He currently serves as an EXCO of the Malaysian Academic Association Congress (MAAC). In his free time, Dr. Nuarrual Hilal enjoys reading, travelling, gardening, and participating in sports.
