Israeli Occupation Forces Arrest Palestinian Journalist In West Bank

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Israeli occupation forces arrested a Palestinian journalist during a raid on the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.
Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) cited local sources as saying that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Beit Ummar early this morning and carried out a campaign of raids and searches that included a number of citizens' homes.
Citizen Mohammed Abu Ayyash said that Israeli occupation forces raided his home, searched it, and ransacked its contents before arresting his 24-year-old daughter, journalist Farah Abu Ayyash.
Reports from Palestinian prisoner organizations indicate that Israeli occupation forces have arrested or detained more than 194 journalists since October 7, 2023, 49 of whom remain in detention.
The cities, towns, and refugee camps of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem are witnessing daily raids and incursions into villages and towns by Israeli occupation forces and settlers, accompanied by confrontations, arrests, and the firing of live and rubber bullets and tear gas at Palestinian youth. The intensity of these raids has increased in conjunction with the occupation's unprecedented and ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip.
