Türkiye Secures Extradition of Fifteen Fugitives

(MENAFN) Fifteen fugitives, including thirteen individuals subject to Interpol red notices and two listed on Türkiye’s national most-wanted list, have been extradited, according to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.

The announcement was made on Monday through a post on X.

Yerlikaya revealed that the suspects were apprehended and sent back to Türkiye from five different countries—Georgia, Greece, the United Kingdom, North Macedonia, and Germany.

All of the individuals were sought in connection with a range of criminal offenses.

According to Yerlikaya, the suspects were identified through comprehensive analysis of Interpol data, Turkish police records, social media platforms, and publicly available intelligence sources.

The operation involved coordination between various departments, including those handling organized crime, intelligence gathering, drug-related offenses, counterterrorism, human trafficking, and cyber-related crimes.
