Netanyahu Hails Trump’s Strikes on Iran as Historic Move
(MENAFN) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his gratitude to US President Donald Trump on Sunday for carrying out attacks on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
In a video statement, Netanyahu described Trump’s action as “courageous” and emphasized, “First comes power, then peace.”
“Congratulations, President Trump. Your bold decision to target Iran’s nuclear facilities with the awesome and righteous might of the United States will change history,” Netanyahu declared. “History will record that President Trump acted to deny the world’s most dangerous regime, the world’s most dangerous weapons.”
Following the operation, Trump spoke with Netanyahu on the phone, according to Israeli media.
On Saturday, the US president revealed that American forces collaborated with Israel in launching strikes against Iran.
“We have completed our very successful attack on the three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
The US offensive included dropping six bunker-buster bombs on the Fordow site using B-2 stealth bombers, along with launching numerous submarine-fired cruise missiles targeting the Natanz and Esfahan plants, reports detail. Media noted Trump explained the strikes to host Sean Hannity, mentioning the deployment of 30 Tomahawk missiles from submarines.
In response, the Israeli military escalated its alert level, suspended schooling, prohibited public gatherings, and stopped all non-essential work after the attacks.
