Jordan: Unemployment Down Slightly
In the first quarter of this year, 18.6% of men and 31.2% of women in Jordan had no jobs, according to a Department of Statistics survey. Besides women, young people are one of the worst-hit demographics in the Arab Levant country: 31% of workers up to 23 years of age were jobless in the first quarter.
The number of expatriates in the Jordanian labor force also decreased, from 44.7% in Q1 2024 to 44$ in Q1 2025.
