Polio Vaccination Campaign To Begin Tomorrow

KABUL (Pajhwok): A polio vaccination drive will be launched on Monday (tomorrow) across the country, targeting around 6.3 million children.
On its X platform, Polio Free Afghanistan said it would launch the first sub-national polio vaccination campaign of the current year tomorrow.
It said children under five would be administered polio vaccine across Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Public Health spokesman Dr. Sharafat Zaman confirmed to Pajhwok Afghan News the campaign would begin on Monday.
However, he did not provide more information about the drive.
On February 22, the first poliovirus case of the current year had been recorded in the Qarato area of Bala Murghab district in Badghis.
