
Afghan Pugilist Faces Russian Rival Tonight
KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan boxer Mohammad Zakria Zamani is set to face his Russian opponent in a highly anticipated bout tonight.
Zamani announced the fight on his facebook page, stating:“I hope to bring a great victory to all dear Afghans during these blessed nights of Ramadan.”
The fight will take place in Moscow as part of the competition for the EBP championship belt. It will be a 10-round match, with each round lasting three minutes.
Earlier, Zamani revealed he would be facing one of Russia's top three boxers, ranked 63rd in the world and having an unbeaten record of 10 consecutive wins.
Zamani will enter the ring with an impressive professional record of 11 bouts, securing victory in eight while facing defeat in the rest.
