Kuwaiti Official: Paris AI Summit Important In Shaping World's Future

PARIS, Feb 10 (KUNA) -- Partaking in the Paris Action on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summit is a unique and important opportunity to shape the future of the world, said a Kuwaiti official on Monday.
Speaking to KUNA during his participation, head of the Kuwaiti Association of Artificial Intelligence of Things (AAIOT) Sheikh Mohammad Ahmad Al-Sabah affirmed that AI would help shape the technology of tomorrow.
He indicated, "We seek during this global event to reinforce strategic partnership with industrial and innovative leaders, exchanging knowledge and expertize, which would contribute to streamlining digital transformation in Kuwait and the region.
Artificial Intelligence is not only essential for economic and social overall growth, noted Al-Sabah, it would be an unprecedented opportunity to push for advancement in various fields including education, healthcare, energy, and digital economy.
He affirmed that Kuwait was keen on developing comprehensive technology that would contribute to achieving the goals of the Kuwait 2035 Vision, which would put the country amongst leaders of innovation.
The State of Kuwait sees the summit as a chance for reinforcing its global status within AI development, highlighting in the same regard its AI and internet projects on the national, regional, and global levels in line with efforts to formulate future technologies and shaping policies within this domain, he said.
Al-Sabah added that the summit would help Kuwaiti youth to develop their technological skills and find investment opportunities in the realm of AI projects, thus, supporting Kuwait's national economy.
The Paris AI summit began earlier today and will continue until February 11th under the patronage of President Emmanuel Macron.
The summit is a strategic platform gathering leaders, decision-makers, and technological leaders from across the world to discuss AI's role in shaping the future of global economy and sustainability.
The event, gathering 1,000 participants, also will focus on the ethical and security use of AI. (pickup previous)
