Kuwait Sends 22Nd Relief Aid Plane To Syria

KUWAIT, Feb 10 (KUNA) -- The 22nd relief aid plane to Syria, carrying 10 tons of foodstuff, departed Kuwait as part of the (Kuwait by Your Side) campaign.
The departure was coordinated by Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), several state ministries in addition to the Kuwait air force.
Chairman of KRCS Ambassador Khaled Al-Maqamis told KUNA that the relief aid campaign would continue to flow toward Syria in line with the Kuwaiti leadership's guidelines as well as Kuwait's keenness to lend its helping hand to the Syrian people.
He revealed that the Syrian Arab Red Crescent would be receiving the relief aid, which then distributed.
He stressed KRCS keenness on assisting the people of Syria, expressing gratitude to all entities partaking in this humanitarian duty.
This is the seventh campaign in which the KRCS is participating in with the overall volume of relief aid reaching 591 tons so far. (end)
