Alumni from The Los Angeles Recording School, a division of The Los Angeles film School, celebrate eight GRAMMY wins, featuring work with Beyoncé, SZA, Sabrina Carpenter, and more

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Seven alumni from The Los Angeles Film School have been credited on five different GRAMMY-nominated projects that received wins at last night's 2025 GRAMMY awards ceremony, earning a total of eight GRAMMYs. These talented graduates have worked with some of the music industry's most prominent artists, showcasing the school's commitment to excellence in recording arts.

Four alumni were credited on Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter," which won three GRAMMYs for Album of the Year, Best Country Album, and Best Country Duo/Group Performance. The alumni include recording engineers Brandon Harding (Recording Arts 2013) and Henrique Andrade (Recording Arts 2011), mixing engineer Jaycen Joshua (Recording Arts 2003), and assistant engineer Jacob Richards (Recording Arts 2017).

Specifically, Brandon Harding, securing his first GRAMMY win, was individually named as a recipient of the GRAMMY for Album of the Year for his work as a recording engineer on Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter." This was Harding's third GRAMMY nomination. He was previously nominated twice for his work on Beyoncé's "Renaissance" two years ago. In addition to their work on "Cowboy Carter," Jaycen Joshua and Jacob Richards were also credited on Muni Long's album, "Revenge," which won a GRAMMY for Best R&B Performance.

Other notable contributions include Anthony Vilchis (Recording Arts 2018) who was credited as assistant mixer/studio personnel on Sabrina Carpenter's "Short n' Sweet" album which took home two GRAMMYs for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album. Hector Castro (Recording Arts 2014) worked as a mixing engineer on SZA's "Saturn," which won the GRAMMY for Best R&B Song, and Julio Ulloa (Recording Arts 2015) was credited as an engineer on Nxworries' "Why Lawd?," which won a GRAMMY for Best Progressive R&B Album.
