KP CM Announces Bounties On Miscreants To Restore Peace In Kurram

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has announced that bounties have been placed on the heads of miscreants disrupting peace in certain areas, as part of efforts to eradicate the issue from its roots .
Speaking to the media in Peshawar, Gandapur emphasized that the provincial government is taking serious measures to restore peace in Kurram , warning that those hindering peace efforts will be dealt with an iron hand. He warned . He added that bunkers , seen as a major obstacle to peace in the region, are being systematically dismantled .
"Some troublemakers remain in isolated areas, but we have set bounties on them to eliminate the issue," Gandapur said, reaffirming the government's commitment to addressing security challenges. He further highlighted that the jirga system has played a pivotal role in resolving major conflicts in Kurram, despite the district's century-old issues that resurface periodically.

The Chief Minister also noted that four major consignments of rations have been delivered to Kurram to support affected communities.
This statement comes in the wake of a recent attack on Assistant Commissioner Saeed Manan , who was injured in a shooting by unidentified assailants in Boshehra, Upper Kurram , on January 31 . The provincial government has since demanded the identification and handover of those involved from the Kurram Peace Jirga , which has assured full cooperation with authorities.
Gandapur reiterated the government's readiness to face all challenges head-on, emphasizing that while the situation is complex, significant progress has already been made through local peace initiatives.
