Following the meeting, a joint statement was issued, affirming support for the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the exchange of hostages and detainees.
They commended the mediation efforts of Egypt and Qatar and acknowledged the crucial role of the United States in securing the agreement.
The statement emphasized the commitment to working with the administration of US President Donald Trump to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East based on the two-state solution and the elimination of conflicts in the region.
The ministers underscored their support for Egypt, Qatar, and UAE efforts to reach the full implementation of the agreement leading to a complete de-escalation.
They stressed the importance of sustaining the ceasefire to guarantee the delivery of humanitarian aid across all areas of Gaza and the removal of all obstacles preventing the entry of humanitarian assistance, shelter, recovery, and rehabilitation needs in a safe and appropriate manner.
The statement firmly called for the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces, rejecting any attempts to divide Gaza, and enabling the Palestinian Authority to assume its responsibilities in Gaza as part of the occupied Palestinian territories, alongside the West Bank and East Jerusalem, in a manner that enables the international community to address the humanitarian catastrophe caused by Israeli aggression in the strip.
The participants reaffirmed the irreplaceable role of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and categorically rejected any attempts to undermine or diminish its mandate.
They also called for "tangible" international efforts to implement a comprehensive reconstruction plan for Gaza.
The statement emphasized the need to ensure that Palestinians remain in their homeland, particularly in light of their resilience and steadfastness, and to improve their daily lives while addressing internal displacement issues until reconstruction is completed.
The meeting reaffirmed full support for the resilience of the Palestinian people on their land and their adherence to their legitimate rights under international law.
The participants strongly opposed any actions that undermine these rights, including settlement activities, forced displacement, home demolitions, land annexation, or any measures aimed at forcibly displace Palestinians by any means.
They warned that such actions threaten stability, risk further escalation of the conflict in the region, and undermine prospects for peace and coexistence.
The statement welcomed Egypt's intention, in cooperation with the United Nations, to host an international conference for the reconstruction of Gaza at an appropriate time, urging the international community and donors to contribute to this effort.
The participants also called on the international community, particularly key global and regional powers and the UN Security Council, to take concrete steps toward implementing the two-state solution.
They stressed the importance of addressing the root causes of tension in the Middle East by reaching a just settlement of the Palestinian issue, ensuring the establishment of a Palestinian state on its full national territory, and preserving the unity of Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, in line with international legitimacy resolutions and the pre-June 4, 1967 lines.
The statement expressed support for the international efforts to implement the two-state solution and called for active participation in the upcoming international conference on resolving the Palestinian issue, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, slated for June 2025.
Ahead of the meeting, Safadi held discussions with Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdel Aty.
