Kuwait Sports Official Commends Record Presence In Harbin '25

HARBIN, China, Feb 1 (KUNA) -- Kuwait is fielding the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China from February 7-14, with the largest Arab mission, the delegation's Chief Fahed Al-Ajmi said on Saturday.
Kuwaiti athletes will compete in four sports, notably ice hockey, figure skating, ice skating and curling said Al-Ajmi, who is Kuwait Winter Games Club, said in a press statement.
He added that the Kuwaiti ice hockey team arrived in the Chinese city of Harbin, the venue of the pan-Asian sports event, said in a press statement, adding that they would face the Kyrgyzstan team in the first faceoff.
Kuwait's curling team will play off Mongolia and Thailand respectively on Tuesday, he said, pointing out that more than 1,500 athletes from 34 countries would compete in the gathering. (end)
