Judicial Commission Approves Appointment Of 10 Additional Judges For Peshawar High Court


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) The Judicial Commission of Pakistan, under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Yahya Afridi , has approved the appointment of 10 additional judges for the Peshawar High Court .

According to sources, the approved judges include Farah Jamshed, Aurangzeb, Inamullah Khan, Mudassir Amir, Sabitullah, Abdul Fayaz, Salahuddin, Sadiq Ali, Tariq Afridi, and Aurangzeb Khan .

The agenda for the Judicial Commission meeting initially proposed the appointment of 9 additional judges . However, during the session, the Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court requested the appointment of 10 judges , a proposal that was agreed upon by the Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi .

Sources further revealed that the appointments were approved by a majority vote , though three members of the commission raised objections to increasing the number from 9 to 10 .
