China Successfully Tests Next-Generation Hypersonic Fighter Jet

(MENAFN- Khaama Press) media outlets in Hong Kong have reported the successful test of a fighter jet engine equipped with artificial intelligence technology in China. The South China Morning Post stated that this engine can operate at a speed of Mach 4 (refers to a speed that is four times the speed of sound).

According to the report, the engine, whose name has not been disclosed, meets the requirements for the complete indigenization of military products.

The tests were conducted by scientists at the National Taihang Laboratory in southwestern China, where field experiments were carried out on this AI-equipped engine.

The South China Morning Post also highlighted that the aim of China's testing of this new technology is to build a jet that operates faster than the U.S. SR-71 Blackbird fighter aircraft.

The recent successful test of a jet engine equipped with artificial intelligence by China is part of the country's broader ambition to enhance its technological capabilities in the defense sector.

This achievement signals China's growing focus on achieving military superiority, especially in aerospace. With the engine capable of operating at Mach 4, China is making significant strides to develop advanced fighter jets that can compete with or even surpass the speed and performance of American aircraft like the SR-71 Blackbird.

This new development has intensified the ongoing technological rivalry between China and the United States, particularly in the field of military aviation. The competition is not only centered around speed but also encompasses cutting-edge technologies such as AI integration and advanced materials. As China continues to modernize its military and space capabilities, the U.S. is under increasing pressure to maintain its technological edge, especially in critical areas like aerospace defense, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

Meanwhile, the U.S. stock market has recently faced instability, in part due to a series of shocks, including the rise of Deepseek, a new AI-driven platform. This platform has disrupted several industries, and its sudden emergence has led to significant market fluctuations.

Deepseek's influence has raised concerns among investors about the rapid pace of technological advancements and how they might disrupt established industries and financial markets. As the competition between China and the U.S. continues to intensify, the global economy and financial markets may increasingly reflect the volatility driven by these emerging technologies.
