Iranian knowledge-based private firms manufacture 768 marine, port, telecom components

(MENAFN) Iranian knowledge-based private firms have produced 768 marine, port, and telecommunication-electronic components, demonstrating the growing trust of the Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) in local expertise and innovation. Ali Fathi, the deputy for Engineering and Infrastructure Development at the PMO, highlighted that this initiative is part of Iran’s broader strategy to promote local production and enhance economic resilience.

He emphasized that in line with the Leader’s call for increased domestic production and self-sufficiency, the PMO has focused on advancing equipment maintenance, producing port and marine components, and making strides in telecom-electronic technologies.

Fathi noted that this growing reliance on domestic production is aimed at reducing dependency on foreign imports, boosting the capabilities of Iran's maritime and telecommunications sectors, and fostering economic self-reliance. The PMO’s efforts reflect a concerted push to strengthen the country’s infrastructure with homegrown solutions, supporting both industrial development and national economic stability.

In addition to these achievements, the upcoming 8th Transportation, Logistics, and Related Industries Exhibition, scheduled to take place from December 16 to 18 at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla, will showcase 220 new components from the port, marine, and telecom-electronic sectors. The exhibition is a significant opportunity for local innovators to present their work, while also demonstrating Iran's commitment to advancing its infrastructure and technology through domestic production.
