Process Of Removing Emmanuel Macron From Power Has Begun

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 31, The French party "Inflexible France" has begun the process of removing President Emmanuel macron from power, Trend reports.

Matilda Pano reported that the draft resolution on the initiation of impeachment proceedings against the President of the Republic in accordance with Article 68 of the constitution has already been sent to parliamentarians for joint signature. This article provides for the removal of the president from office in the event of his violation of his powers.

Since the Inflexible France party has 72 seats in parliament, it can propose impeachment on its own (more than 57 deputies are needed for this). However, the Bureau of the National Assembly (the lower house of parliament) decides whether to accept the initiative or not. The legislative committee must then approve the text of the resolution, and two-thirds of the Assembly must support it within two weeks. In the next stages, this process must be approved by the upper house of parliament, the Senate, where the left does not have a majority. If the text is approved by the Senate, the two chambers will come together and the resolution must be supported by 617 of the 925 members of both chambers.

Earlier, Jean-Luc Mélenchon's party, Unbowed France, announced that it would express no confidence in any government not led by Lucie Cast, whom President Macron rejected as prime minister.
