Iran, Syria Vow To Further Promote Bilateral Ties

TEHRAN, Jul 30 (NNN-IRNA) – Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian, and Syrian Prime Minister, Hussein Arnous, pledged to enhance bilateral relations in various areas, during their meeting in the Iranian capital, Tehran yesterday.
Pezeshkian said, relations between Iran and Syria had always been“friendly and brotherly,” noting that, the two countries remain“each other's friend during tough times,” according to a statement from the president's office.
He stressed the need to elevate economic, trade, cultural, and social interactions, to match their robust Political rapport, adding that, his administration is committed to expediting the implementation of existing agreements to bolster bilateral ties.
Arnous, attending Pezeshkian's upcoming inauguration, conveyed Syria's gratitude to“friendly” nations, especially Iran, for their support in enhancing Syrian security.
He highlighted the significant strides in the Damascus-Tehran relations, over the past two years, while calling for deepening collaboration to unlock untapped potential in bilateral ties.
Pezeshkian emerged as winner, in the country's presidential elections and was officially endorsed by Iranian Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, as Iran's ninth president on Sunday.– NNN-IRNA
