Earthquake Hits Kazakhstan


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 27. The earthquake with a magnitude of 3.9 has occurred in Kazakhstan, the statement of Kazakhstan National Data Center said, Trend reports.

According to information, the epicenter of the tremors was located 21 km southeast of the town of Rudny in the Kostanay region.

The destruction and casualties as a result of the earthquake are not announced.

To note, earlier on May 6 an earthquake with magnitude 4.6 was registered in the border region between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, 20 kilometers to the south-east of Kegen, a village in the Almaty region in the south-east of Kazakhstan.
