Ukrainian Forces Down Russia's Kh-59/Kh-69 Missile, Four Shahed Drones Overnight


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukraine's defense forces shot down a Russian Kh-59/Kh-69 guided air missile and four Shahed attack UAVs overnight into Saturday, July 27.

Ukrainian Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk announced this on the Telegram messaging app, Ukrinform reports.

In the early hours of July 27, 2024, the enemy attacked Ukraine with a Kh-59/Kh-69 guided air missile launched from the airspace of the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region and four Shahed strike drones launched from Russia's Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

Ukrainian defenders destroyed all targets in the Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Kharkiv and Kyiv regions.

Additionally, on July 26 and 27, Ukrainian air defenses intercepted eight more aerial targets in the southern and northeastern sectors, including four Supercam reconnaissance drones, one Forpost strike and reconnaissance drone, one UAV of undetermined type, and two Lancet loitering munitions.
