Kyrgyzstan Begins Assembling Domestic Laptops


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 25 . Domestic laptop assembly has commenced in Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports.

The subsidiary of the Kyrgyz industry Company, Kyrgyz Electronics, has started assembling laptops under the Meken brand at its own facility.

The company has received test samples of electronic computers and equipment from Clovertek Industries, a well-known Chinese firm that supplies components for laptops and tablets for major global brands like Acer and Lenovo. This development allows Kyrgyz citizens to purchase laptops at lower prices.

Additionally, it was previously reported that Kyrgyz Electronics plans to start producing Meken-brand mobile phones by September 1.

The Kyrgyz Electronics Company specializes in assembling and manufacturing consumer electronics. Established in April 2022, the company began its first production run in September 2023. In addition to cash registers, the company produces multifunctional devices such as printers under the Pantum brand, universal set-top boxes, and is currently working on supplying Wi-Fi routers for Kyrgyz telecommunications companies. The company's products are already being exported to neighboring Kazakhstan.
