Turkmenistan, Pakistan Cover Wide Range Of Bilateral Cooperation In Political Talks

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 24. Turkmenistan
and Pakistan discussed a wide range of topical issues of bilateral
cooperation within the framework of Political consultations,
Trend
reports.
According to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, the delegations of
both countries were headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of
Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs
of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
During the consultations, the parties touched upon a wide range
of topical issues of bilateral cooperation in various fields.
The delegations stressed the importance of joint efforts in
combating global challenges and threats, including terrorism and
cybercrime.
At the same time, they stated that Turkmenistan and Pakistan are
constructively cooperating within the framework of international
and regional structures, in particular, the countries mutually
support the initiatives and proposals put forward by the two
states.
Furthermore, at the meeting, the parties considered ways to
increase the volume of trade and economic partnership, improve the
contractual and legal framework, implement promising joint projects
in the fields of energy and transport, and also noted the priority
nature of humanitarian partnership in such areas as culture and
education.
Meanwhile, on July 23, 2024, the visit of the delegation of
Turkmenistan headed by Rashid Meredov to Pakistan began, within the
framework of which the delegation met with the President of the
Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari.
At the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues
related to cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade,
economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
