FIA To Arrest NADRA Officials Involved In Issuing Pakistani ID Cards To Afghans
During the investigation, details of six identity cards were requested from NADRA. An official letter from the FIA's Anti-Human Trafficking Circle sought detailed records of these ID cards, which were allegedly issued to non-Pakistani individuals. The investigation also demanded the names of the officials who processed these ID cards, their official system login details, and the details of the form verifiers.

Among the cards was one issued to an Afghan citizen named Zardad, who was caught by the FIA using the name Mohibullah to apply for a Pakistani passport. Further checks revealed his true Afghan nationality.
The FIA's continued investigation led to the arrest of another Afghan national along with several agents near the passport office. Evidence pointed to the involvement of NADRA officials in these illegal activities. Consequently, records were requested from NADRA, and internal departmental investigations were initiated.
The FIA has now decided to take action against those involved. The investigation has reached its final stages, and the responsible NADRA officials have been identified.
