National Taekwondo Fighter Gets Ready For Paris 2024 Summer Olympics

Azerbaijani taekwondo fighter Gashim Magomedov continues the final stage of preparation for the Paris 2024 Summer olympics in Baku, Azernews reports.

The athlete, who will compete in the weight category up to 58 kg, is training in the national federation`s gym with the Turkish athlete Omar Faruk.

Preparation with the European Youth Champion, Gold medalist of the Multi-European Games, Spanish Open, Bosnia Herzegovina Open, Sofia Open, and three-time winner of the Turkish Open is designed for the successful performance of the taekwondo fighter in Paris 2024. The athletes will also take part in control sparring.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will take place in Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024.

Paris will become the second city after London to host the Summer Olympics three times.

The Games will feature football, tennis, boxing, cycling, gymnastics, volleyball, weightlifting, basketball, fencing, taekwondo, athletics, wrestling, and other sports, as well as the debut of breakdancing as an Olympic event.

The Azerbaijani team includes 48 sportsmen who will compete in 17 programs and 15 sports.
