Expatriate Remittances Increase By 3.7% - CBJ


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - Jordanian expatriates' remittances increased by 3.7 per cent during the first five months of 2024, compared with the same period of 2023, the Central bank of Jordan (CBJ) announced on Tuesday.

CBJ preliminary data showed that the value of remittances in the January-May period of this year stood at $1.451 billion, compared to $1.4 billion for the same period last year, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

In May, Jordanian expatriates' remittances saw an increase of 2.8 per cent compared to the same month last year, reaching $305 million.
