Amman, July 15 (Petra) -- The EU Monday sanctioned five Israeli illegal settlers in the occupied West bank and three organisations for "grave and systematic violations of human rights" against Palestinians.
The sanctions targeted the Tsav 9 who are accused of blocking roads on lorries carrying much-needed aid for Palestinian Gazans.
The EU sanctioned the founder and leader of Lehava, Ben-Zion Gopstein, Isaschar Manne and his Farm outpost, which he set up illegally in Hebron in the occupied West Bank.
The US State Department imposed sanctions on Gopstein and Manne and the Tsav 9 group, which Washington said last week opposes the integration of Jews with non-Jews and incites violence against Arabs in the name of religion and national security.
The sanctions would mean freezing assets and banning visas for the listed. It is the second package of sanctions imposed by the EU against Israeli settlers who practice violence.
