Turkey, Saudi Arabia emphasize urgent need for Gaza ceasefire


(MENAFN) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, emphasized the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip during a joint news conference held in Istanbul on Sunday. Both ministers underscored the critical importance of facilitating humanitarian aid to the Palestinians who are facing severe hardships as a result of ongoing conflicts in the region. They acknowledged the dire conditions that many people in Gaza are experiencing and called for swift action to address the humanitarian crisis.

Fidan specifically urged the international community to apply pressure on Israel to agree to a ceasefire, aiming to prevent further bloodshed and to alleviate the worsening humanitarian situation in the Strip.
