
Saudi Arabia, Turkiye Underline Need For Immediate Ceasefire In Gaza
Istanbul: Turkish foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
During a joint news conference in Istanbul on Sunday, the ministers emphasized the importance of delivering humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in Gaza and putting an end to their dire conditions.
The Turkish foreign minister called for pressuring the Israeli entity to accept a ceasefire, prevent bloodshed, and halt the humanitarian crisis in the Strip as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, the Saudi foreign minister stressed the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians in the Strip. He also advocated for effective political action through revitalizing the process towards a two-state solution, noting discussions with his Turkish counterpart within the framework of the joint committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League.
