Woman Whipped 35 Times Over Adultery In Balkh

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): A woman received 35 lashes after being convicted of adultery in northern Balkh province, the Supreme Court said on Monday.
In a statement, the top court said the order was implemented based on the Public Security Division's First Court.
Balkh Arbitration Court chairman Gulabuddin Farooqi, Supreme Court Civil Division Chairman, officials of local departments, clients and the general public witnessed the order's execution.
The woman was whipped 35 times in public, according to the statement.
Earlier, a boy and a girl accused of adultery were punished in public.
