Berlin-Paris, Berlin-Brussels sleeping trains to be suspended due to construction work

(MENAFN) Starting from mid-August until the end of October, sleeper train services connecting Berlin to Paris and Brussels will be suspended. This decision arises from ongoing railway construction projects in Germany and France, impacting the operational feasibility of these international routes.

Operated by the Austrian Railways Company (ÖBB), these sleeper trains are crucial links for travelers between major European capitals. Additionally, the sleeper train service between Vienna and Paris will also be halted during the same period due to the construction activities affecting the railway infrastructure.

According to a statement released by Austrian Railways, the suspension period for these routes is scheduled from August 12 to October 25. It has been clarified that tickets for these lines will not be available for purchase during the specified timeframe, reflecting the temporary cessation of services.

The evening service connecting Berlin and Paris commenced in December last year with initial plans to operate three times a week, aiming to provide convenient and comfortable travel options between the two cities. However, due to the necessary infrastructure upgrades and construction work, travelers will need to seek alternative transportation arrangements during this period.
