Kuwaiti Union Of Women's Associations Celebrates 30Th Anniv.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, June 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Union of Women's Associations started the celebration of the 30th anniversary of establishing the Union, which was a step further in empowering Kuwaiti women.
In a press statement Tuesday, the Union's President Sheikha Fadia Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah said that the celebrations that started today and will last until the end of December, include many events, programs and Seminars targeting women and families.
Sheikha Fadia Al-Sabah explained that Kuwaiti women's work, which started with the launch of the union in 1994, is entering a new phase to keep pace with changes and meet women's needs.
She pointed to the Union's keenness to continue its role in developing future plans for women that take into account their needs and emerging challenges after a comprehensive study and to start implementing them to support and empower women.
Sheikha Fadia Al-Sabah commended the union's role and its initiator Sheikha Latifa Al-Fahad Al-Salem Al-Sabah along with her fellow founders, which had a positive impact on women, families and children's issues, wishing them further progress. (end)
