Qatar Airways Wins Skytrax Airline Of The Year 2024 Award

(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka: Qatar Airways bagged the Airline of the Year accolade at Skytrax World Airline Awards 2024 held in London on June 24, taking the number one spot for record eighth time.

The airline also received three other awards: World's Best Business Class (for 11th time), World's Best Business Class Airline Lounge (for sixth time) and Best Airline in the Middle East (for 12th time).

Speaking on the occasion, Engr Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Group Chief Executive Officer, Qatar Airways, said,“This is a proud moment for Qatar Airways. I am honoured to share this award with my dedicated team; this award is a testimony to our relentless commitment to providing unparalleled service and innovation. We look forward to continuing to serve our customers with the highest level of excellence.”

In addition, the airline was once again classed 'five-star' by the Skytrax ratings.

Qatar Airways also becomes the first aviation group to win Best Airline of the Year, World's Best Airport (Hamad International Airport, for third time) and World's Best Airport Shopping (Qatar Duty Free, for second consecutive year) in the same year in Skytrax history.

The airport also received the Skytrax award for Best Airport in the Middle East for tenth time in 2024.
